DHAKA: Airport customs authorities held a man with two-and-a-half Kilogram gold from a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city on Thursday noon.

The detainee is Didarul.

Customs Assistant Commissioner Abdul Alim told banglanews, “A gang of international smuggler gave the gold to the detainee at Chittagong airport when the flight landed at the port to pass over”.

Acting on tip off, the customs officials seized the gold when the flight landed at Dhaka airport at around 1:00pm, he added.
