DHAKA: Ruling Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud on Thursday alleged BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is a ‘terrorist leader.’    

“BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is not only the leader of 19-party alliance, but also the leader of terrorist,” he said.

The AL leader came up with the assertion while addressing a protest rally in front of Bangabandhu Avenue on Thursday morning.  

He said if BNP wants dialogue with the government, at first they have to say the government is illegal.     

Indicating Khaleda Zia, he said, “You said that that present Awami League government is illegal. But, you are taking part in upazila elections under the government. Now, you want to sit for talks.”    

Awami Muktijuddha Projonmo League, a platform of sons of freedom fighters of Awami League, organized the rally.  

He urged the party-men to success the March 7 rally at Suhrawardy Udyan led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
