BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has warned party leaders and activists not to get involved in any unlawful activities.
He said if anyone commits wrongdoing, they could face consequences like the previous regime Awami League.
He made the remark on Tuesday (April 29) during a public outreach event at Moulani High School field in Chilarrang Union under Thakurgaon Sadar upazila.
“BNP is the most trusted party to the people. Don’t commit any injustice, or your fate may become like that of Awami League. If anyone does wrong, hand them over to law enforcement,” he said.
He added that BNP envisions a peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh for all, where no division exists. “We want a loving and inclusive Bangladesh. Religious minorities, especially Hindus, will be the safest under a BNP government,” he said.
Local BNP leaders including District Secretary Mirza Faisal Amin, Joint Secretary Paigam Ali, and Thakurgaon Sadar BNP leaders Abdul Hamid and Mahbub Hossain Tuhin were also present.
