Ex-MP Omar Faruk, four others arrested in capital

The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested former Naogaon-6 lawmaker Md Omar Faruk Sumon and four others from different parts of the capital.

All the detainees are reportedly activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliated organizations.

Confirming the matter, DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said further details will be shared later.
