A Dhaka court today placed former MP and singer Momtaz Begum on a four-day remand in connection with the murder of Md Sagor during the July-August mass uprising.
Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Rana passed the order after police sought a seven-day remand.
Momtaz was arrested by the Detective Branch from Dhanmondi on Monday night.
She is accused in multiple cases related to the protests. According to case files, hawker Md Sagor was fatally shot during a student rally on July 19 in Mirpur-10.
The case, filed on November 27, names 242 accused, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
