DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will appear before a Dhaka court on Wednesday (March 19) in Zia orphanage trust embezzlement case.

Khaleda Zia’s lawyer Advocate Sanaullah Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews on Tuesday.

BNP Joint Secretary General Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokan, also another lawyer of Khaleda Zia, told banglanews, “Khaleda Zia would appear before court on Tuesday as per the date of the case.”

Earlier, party’s chairperson applied several times seeking time extension to appear before the court.
