BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday condemned individuals using the party’s name to serve personal interests and create unrest in various offices, including the Income Tax office.
Speaking at a Rath Yatra discussion organized by Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Front at Nayapaltan’s Bhasani Bhaban, Rizvi clarified that such people are not part of BNP and warned against attempts to establish dominance in government sectors by misusing the party’s identity.
He said that the acting chairman Tarique Rahman is taking strict action against such misconduct.
Rizvi also expressed hope for timely national elections following discussions between Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and Tarique Rahman in London.
He also alleged that former CEC Habibul Awal admitted the 2024 polls were a dummy election, proving all elections under Sheikh Hasina’s rule were illegitimate.
