BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman visibly broke down in tears as Ridhi, the daughter of JCD leader Parvez who was a victim of enforced disappearance, spoke of her family’s pain at a programme in Dhaka on Tuesday marking the July Uprising anniversary.

Joining virtually from London, Tarique was seen wiping his eyes while Ridhi asked if she and her brother would ever see their father again. The emotional moment quickly went viral on social media.

BNP leaders, activists, and families of enforced disappearance victims attended the event at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre.
