Justice and electoral reforms are the main goal ahead of any election, said Hasnat Abdullah, Chief Coordinator of the South Zone of the National Consensus Party (NCP).
He made the remark on Friday (July 4) while speaking to journalists in Thakurgaon after concluding the party’s July Movement march.
“We are visiting the families of those who were killed or injured during the July uprising,” said Hasnat Abdullah, adding, “We believe elections must be held, but our main goal is an election through justice and reform.”
He also emphasized that certain conditions must be met before any election can take place.
NCP Convenor Nahid Islam, Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, North Zone Chief Coordinator Sarjis Alam, Senior Joint Secretary Dr. Tasnim Zara, and Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, along with other central leaders, were present at the event.
