DHAKA: Barguna Sadar upazila BNP president Advocate Abdul Halim has been expelled from the party on charge of violating the party discipline.

A press release signed by its BNP Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed this matter to banglanews on Tuesday.

The press release said the local leader was expelled from BNP for his involvement in the activities against the party’s interest.

Earlier, the party expelled a good number of leaders of grassroots-level for disputes mainly over the upazila polls.
