BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has returned home after undergoing a medical check-up at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
She arrived at her residence at 2:52 am on Thursday (July 24).
Before that, she left Evercare Hospital for home at 2:26 am following the completion of her tests, according to Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP’s media cell.
The BNP chairperson arrived at the hospital at 1:48 am for an urgent medical evaluation.
Her personal physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain, said that she was taken to Evercare Hospital for certain tests.
He said, “She was taken to the hospital on the advice of her medical board. She has now returned home. Some tests were urgently required based on the board’s recommendations, and she was brought to the hospital specifically for those.”
Khaleda Zia remains under the supervision of a medical board at Evercare Hospital, led by specialist Professor Shahabuddin Talukder.
