NOAKHALI: The by-poll is underway to elect chairman in Dumuria Union Parishad under Senbagh upazila of the district on Sunday.
The voting started in nine vote centers at 8:00am and will run till 4:00pm at a stretch.
A total of 10 candidates are vying in the election for the post of Chairman.
There are around 18,611 voters in the union where 8,900 voters are male and rests of others are female.
The post of the Chairman fell vacant from December 2, 2014 as the former UP Chairman Kamrul Hasan passed away.
Returning Officer Abdul Karim confirmed the matter to banglanews.
