DHAKA UNIVERSITY (DU): Minister of Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque on Sunday categorically said documents concerning the relationship between late President Ziaur Rahman and Pakistani army during the liberation war would be disclosed soon.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion titled ‘Muktijuddher Chetona Bastabayan-e Amader Angikar’ arranged by Muktijoddha Sangshad Sontan Command at the University of Dhaka in the afternoon.

The minister alleged that a letter which said “we are pleased with what you`ve done. Soon, you will be given a new assignment. Your wife and children are safe with us,” proved that Zia was related with the forces of anti-liberation war.

Minister also mentioned that MAG Osmani also suspended him once during the liberation war.

Later he was reappointed as Sector Commander after an apology from him, he added.

AKM Mozammel Haque also warned fake freedom fighters saying their position during the liberation war will be investigated and punitive actions will be taken against the defaulters.

Minister urged the children of freedom fighters to uphold the spirit of the liberation war.

Vice Chancellor of DU Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the programme.
