FROM JATIYA SANGSHAD: Retorting Khaleda Zia, telecommunications and information and communication technology minister Abdul Latif Siddique raised question over the declaration of independence.

He told the House that those who do not believe in independence try to create controversy about Bangabandhu and declaration of independence.

Latif Siddique also said steps should be taken from the Parliament against such slanderous comments. “Khaleda Zia summoned at the House and sought explanation,” he said.

He said, “State cannot be a hostage to any person. This person (Khaleda) is continuously speaking against Independence, Sovereignty and against the State. This is why we have to take stern actions against Khaleda Zia.”
