Govt interference was very low

DHAKA: Awami League Presidium Member Suranjit Sengupta opined that it could not be said that the government had not any interference in the upazila election, but that was very low.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion at Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh auditorium in the city on Friday noon.

Indicating BNP, Suranjit Sen said that they refused the result of upazila election when they lose. But when they win, they remain silent, which is not fair.

He also said that BNP shamelessly used the religion in the election.
