DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Sunday placed general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Habibur Rashid Habib on a one-day remand in an explosive case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim granted the remand around 12:15pm after hearing.

Besides, the court also refused the remand plea on another case filed with Shahbagh Thana and fixed April 9 for hearing on remand petition another case.

Earlier, the cases were filed against him on the charge of bombs explosion during hartals in January, March and April in last year.
