Govt fails in Teesta deal

KALIAKOIR, GAZIPUR: The government has failed to implement Teesta deal properly with India to ensure due water share.

Coming up with the above allegation, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “To get water from Teesta is the right of Bangladeshi people.”

He was addressing a brief street rally at Kaliakoir bus stand on Tuesday morning.

Urging to join the rally Fakhrul also said, “Let us convey the message to the people through the long march that the Teesta water is not just our demand, it’s our rights.”

BNP’s long march towards Teesta Barrage is not against anyone, even not against the government of India, he said earlier in the day in the capital.
