SATKHIRA: An activist of Jamaat-e-Islami was killed and two police personnel were injured in a clash at Debhata upazila in the district on early Tuesday.      

The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam, son of late Babar Ali of Chinedanga village under the upazila.       

Sources said the clash took place between Jamaat activists and police at Kewratola of Sakhipur union at dawn.      

Police recovered a shutter gun and three cocktails from the spot after the clash.
