JESSORE: Law enforcers nabbed 10 leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, including its Majlish-e-Sura member Azizur Rahman and district Ameer Abdur Rashid, during a secret meeting early Wednesday.

Police also recovered four hand grenades, eight machete-like local weapons and materials to make bombs.

Assistant Superintendent of Police of Jessore Reshma Sharmin told banglanews, acting on tip off, police conducted the drive at Rupdia Madrasa to held Jamaat men from their clandestine meeting.

They blasted two crude bombs sensing the presence of police, leaving two constables injured, she added.

She also said police filed cases against all the detained under explosives act.
