BNP’s 4-day nonstop protest from May 17

DHAKA: BNP will stage a 4-day nonstop agitation program from 17 protesting the ongoing murder-disappearance-abduction in the country and shifting trial of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in two graft cases at the makeshift court at Bakshi Bazar Alia Madrasa ground. 

BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement in a press briefing at party’s Nayapaltan central office in the city on Sunday noon.

The programs will start from May 17, through a mass rally in Demra area of the district. Later, party leaders and activists were asked to join the protest rally in upazila, district and Mahanagar level from May 18-20 consecutively.

Rizvi said that the decisions of the programs have been taken at the meeting of Standing Committee Members of the party on Saturday.

BNP Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed, Organizing Secretary of the party Fazlul Haque Milon, education affairs secretary Khairul Kabir Khokan, Rajshahi divisional organizational Harunur Rashid, among others, were present there.
