DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that freedom of the media is good, but side by side it should have the responsibility and commitment. 

The premier came up with the assertion while talking to the officials of information ministry on Sunday.

Sheikh Hasina said that a broadcasting policy is needed for electronic media. We have already made a draft of policy like other countries in the world.

“Freedom of the mass media is good. But media men should have responsibility and commitment. Everyone will have to pay attention in this regard,” she added.  

Mentioning the importance of media, Prime Minister said people learn so many things from media so history should be highlighted through media.
