AL infighting hurts 2 in Satkhira

SATKHIRA: At least two activists of ruling Awami League were injured in a factional clash over establishing supremacy in Satkhira Bus Terminal on Monday noon.

Police also arrested four people from the area. The arrestees are Abdus Salam, Abdul Kalam, Abdur Rahman Shahazi and Nazrul Islam of Sabu group. 

Police said that the clash occurred between District Sramik League secretary Saiful Karim Shabu group and Sadar upazila Chairman and District Juba League general secretary Asaduzzaman Babu group to take control of the terminal at noon. 

Being informed police rushed to the spot and opened three rounds of blank fires to take the situation under control and arrested four people of Sabu group.

Sheikh Nasir Uddin, officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station, confirming the matter to Banglanews said police were deployed in the spot.
