DHAKA: The High Court on Monday allowed Chairman of a faction of Jatiya Party Kazi Zafar Ahmed to visit abroad with a view to undergoing treatment.

An HC bench comprising Justice M Abdul Hafiz and Justice M Ruhul Quddus passed the three-month order after a plea from Zafar.

Senior lawyer Advocate Habibul Islam Bhuiyan, Advocate M Shafiuddin Bhuiyan and M Abu Hanif moved for the plea in the court while lawyer M Khorshed Alam moved for ACC.

Currently, Kazi Zafar is under treatment at the ICU of United Hospital.
