DHAKA: Police detained a few number of activists of Bangladesh Islami Chhatri Sangstha, female students’ wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, in Khilgaon Thana area of the city on Wednesday.

They were held during a meeting on the afternoon.

Khilgaon Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Sardar Wahiduzzaman said, “Police raided in the area and apprehended them as the law enforcing agency had information that Chhatri Sangstha activists were holding a secret meeting in the area.”

The SI, however, could not confirm that how much females have been detained.
