DHAKA: BNP acing secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday urged Awamil League to return to the democratic process through holding a fair, acceptable and neutral election soon.

The senior leader of the party was talking to journalists after placing flower wreaths at the grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman with the newly formed committee members of the Association of Engineers Bangladesh at 12:00 noon.

He said, “The attitude of the Awami League has not changed since 2008. They took over the power through an illegal election on January 5.”

“The incumbent opposition party is a domestic party. They have no stances or activists against this autocrat government,” he said.

Presient of the association ANH Akhter and general secretary Harun-or-Rashid were among others present at the function.
