DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) standing committee member Mirza Abbas said that the premier and also ruling Awami League president Sheikh Hasina is looting the country along with her family members.

He came up with the assertion in an iftar mahfil organized by BNP in city’s Khilgaon area Saturday evening.

Mirza Abbas also criticized the comment of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Sheikh Hasina.

Joy stated that the activists and supporters of BNP are ignorant. 

The speech of Joy is valueless, Abbas remarked.

He also said that Joy could have been our beloved one but he lost his credibility for his attitude.

The BNP leader said that India has captured Bangladesh’s Talpotti island but the incumbent government is not concerned about the matter.

He asked the BNP activists to be ready for upcoming protest movements.

A score of BNP leaders and activists attended the program, chaired by Khilgaon Thana BNP president Alhaj M Younus Mridha.
