DHAKA: A woman allegedly committed suicide “resenting to her son” in Jatrabari area of the city on Monday noon. 

The deceased was identified as Runa Akhter, 40, wife of expatriate of South Africa Mohammad Ali of Nabiullah Gali in the area and hailed from Naria Thana of Shariatpur district.

Son of the deceased Rakibul Hasan said to banglanews that he left the home after he locked quarrel with his mother. When returned home he found the door was locked under the room. 

After breaking the closed door, their neighbors saw the body of Ruma was hanging with a ceiling fan.

Later, the body was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared her dead.
