Dandy Dyeing case hearing Aug 7

DHAKA:  A money loan court on Wednesday deferred the hearing of defaulting state-owned Sonali Bank loan of Tk 45.59 crore of Dandy Dyeing Limited against 11 people, including BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman to August 7.

Justice of the court Mohammad Robiuzzaman of first money loan court passed the order as the defendant Lawyer Jahedul Islam Koyel sought more time.

The justice appointed Advocate Abdus Salam as middleman on October 3. But the justice made an issue of this case as it remained unsolved for long time.

The accused include Shams Iskander, Shafin Iskander, Sumaiya Iskander, Nasrin Ahmed, Tarique Rahman, Arafat Rahman, Tarique’s business friend Gias Uddin Al Mamun, Mamun’s wife Shahina Begum, Gazi Galib Abdus Sattar, Shamsun Nahar and Masud Hassan.

On October 2 in 2013, senior executive officer of a local branch of Sonali Bank Nazrul Islam filed the case.

Later on February 24 in 1993, the Dandy Dyeing Limited applied for the loan and the same year on May 9, Sonali Bank authorities sanctioned it.

Meanwhile, on February 28 in 2010, bank authorities had noticed to pay the loan but they didn’t.
