CTG Jubo League leader shot dead

CHITTAGONG: Masked miscreants killed here a local Jubo League leader while two more were injured over a gun attack in Rangunia on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Hossain, 35, joint secretary of the upazila unit of ruling Awami League’s youth wing and son of Ali Ahmed of Mariamnagar Saudagarpara in the upazila.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Rangunia Thana Officer-in-charge (OC) Waliullah Oli said that a group of 6-7 masked criminals opened fire on Hossain when he along with others was gossiping at the local party office in Mariamnagar chowmuhani area, leaving them injured seriously.

Hossain succumbed to his injuries after locals rushed them to the Rangunia Upazila Health Complex, he added.

However, the two other injured were shifted to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital, later.
