DHAKA: Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu opined that burying the communal spirit, we have to build a secular/nonsectarian country.

The minister came up with the opinion while addressing a biennial conference of Dhakeshwari Temple in city on Friday morning.

Indicating the country men he said, “You worked to remove communal spirit in past, you have to continue such work.”

He said that minority were attacked in 2001 like 1971. Then Awami League took position on behave of minorities.

Amir Hossain Amu also said that necessary steps will be taken to recover occupied lands of Dhakeshwari Temple.

With Dhaka City Sarbojonin Puja Committee president Basudeb Dhar in the chair, Food Minister Quamrul Islam, Haji Selim, independent parliamentarian from Dhaka-7 constituency and others were present in the programme.
