LAXMIPUR: A Juba League activist was found dead in Bhangakha under Sadar upazila of the district on Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Jashim Uddin, 24, son of Golam Mostofa, resident of the area.

Locals said that they found Jashim dead in the area around 2:30pm and informed police.

Miscreants might have slaughtered him at night, they added.

On information, police rushed into the place and recovered the body.

The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

In-charge of Dattapara Police outpost Sub-Inspector Wahiduzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
