DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia will go to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

She will leave Dhaka at 9:00pm on Saturday.

Her personal assistant and a group of journalists will accompany her, said BNP office sources.

During her visit in Saudi Arabia, she may meet her sons Tarique Rahman and Arafat Rahman.

If they went there, they will perform Umrah together after seven years.

They will also visit holy Rawza Mubarak of Prophet Muhammad (sm) in Medina.

Khaleda Zia is scheduled to return home on July 27.
