BNP determined for stern movement

DHAKA: Dhaka City BNP convener Mirza Abbas on Wednesday categorically said the movement of BNP would be stopped even if all leaders and activists are sent to jail.

The senior of the party, also standing committee member, made the assertion while talking to journalists after exchanging eid greetings with Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal activists at his Shahjahanpur residence in the city.

He said, “Many things will be told. Hindrances will come; leaders and activists will be sent to the jail. But nothing will stop us.”

Abbas also said, “We don’t know how people will respond if the government tries to create hindrances to our movement.”

He also expressed hope that the government will respect and support their democratic movement.

He also greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and urged them to participate in their movement to recover democracy.
