Quamruzzaman, Quader Mollah on fresh remand

DHAKA: Assistant secretary general of Jamaat-e-Islami Quamruzzaman and Abdul Quader Mollah were placed on remand for 11 days each on Thursday in four separate cases.

They were placed on eight-day remand in three cases for obstructing police duties with Paltan Police Station.  

In another case filed with Ramna Thana for torching a vehicle a day before the June 27 hartal, Metropolitan Magistrate MK Tofail Hasan granted remand appeal for Quamruzzaman and Quader Mollah for three days.
 
Besides, another Jamaat leader Mia Mohammad Mujahidul Islam was remanded for eight days on the same charge.

Metropolitan Magistrate Dr. Abul Mazid issued the order after the investigation officer of the cases produced them before court with a 10-day remand prayer.
