LK Siddiqui’s Namaz-e-Janaza held

DHAKA: Former Deputy Speaker Engineer LK Siddiqui’s Namaz-e-Janaza was held in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan central office of the capital on Sunday morning.

Sources told banglanews that body of ex-Water Resources Minister has been taken to the National Parliament after Namaj-e-Janaza around 8:30pm.

Distinguished persons with LK Siddiqui’s relatives, friends and admirers and party leaders-activists attended the janaza.

Later, his body was taken to Sangsad Bhaban.

LK Siddiqui, also BNP’s central committee vice-chairman, passed away at Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore on Friday morning.

He breathed his last around 11:00pm at the age of 83, party sources said.

Aslam Chowdhury, general secretary of Chittagong (north) unit of BNP, told banglanews that LK Siddiqui was suffering from various diseases for long.

His body was brought to the country on Friday night.
