COMILLA: A Comilla court sent some 80 leaders and activists of BNP, including the general secretary and joint general secretary of Muradnagar upazila BNP, and its ancillary organizations to jail on Tuesday.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Razia Sultana passed the order.

Court sources said they appeared before the court with a bail plea in two different cases filed, including sabotage before the January 5 general elections.

The court sent them to the jail denying bail appeal plea, it added.
