Khaleda urges all to unite

DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia asked party’s newly formed city committee to work together forgetting all disparity.

She gave the order at a meeting held on Tuesday night with the city BNP leaders at her Gulshan political office, sources told banglanews.

The maiden meeting of Khaleda with party’s newly-formed Dhaka city committee, headed-by Mirza Abbas as convener and Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel as member-secretary, lasted for more than two hours from 8:40pm, sources added.

However, city BNP joint convener Salahuddin Ahmed told us that Khaleda had directed them to work together for the sake of party, people and the country.

Among others, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal said that the meeting discussed intensifying the future movement.

Moreover, Alal told media that there is no clash between Abbas and Sohel, while answering about recent rumor.

Of course, Abbas and Sohel came out together apparently to show their unity against the backdrop after the meeting.
