DHAKA: The next committee of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal led-by BNP education affairs secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon as president and Saiful Islam Nirab as general secretary is likely to be declared soon.

A competent source from the party made the disclosure while talking to banglanews.

The source added that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will hold a meeting with the party standing committee members on Sunday to finalize the committee.

Announcement of the committee would be made several days after the meeting, according to the sources.

Khairul Kabir Khokon was also former general secretary of DUCSU.

Earlier, names of Sanaul Haque Niru as president and Kamruzzaman Ratan as GS were heard as they might lead the upcoming committee, but the party chief kept her trust on one of the incumbent leaders for his role in anti-government movement during the January 5 polls.
