KHAGRACHHARI: The Pahari Chhatra Parishad (PCP) has called of the half-day road blockade in Matiranga and Guimara upazilas of the district for Sunday.

A press release, signed by Bijoy Chakma, office secretary of Khagrachhari district unit PCP, was issued in the evening in this regard.

Earlier in the day, the PCP called the blockade protesting the alleged attack by army in a party meeting at Guimara and demanding release of the nabbed from the meeting on Friday.

PCP claimed that at least 14 of their leaders and activists were left injured due to the attack on the rally arranged in front of Guimara Press Club to press home the demand of release of two school going boys whom the law enforcers held on August 6.

The blockade was called off as the security forces released Real Tripura, office secretary of Khagrachhari College unit PCP.
