SHERPUR: Election Commissioner Brigadier General (retd) M Jabed Ali on Monday said the election was not well accepted to the mass people due to three reasons.

He made the observations after inaugurating newly built server station building in Chalk Pathak area of the district.

He also said the Election Commission of India said that the Bangladesh EC is powerful than them.

However the three reasons are in India, every political party is dependent on EC, media is friendly to the commission moreover Supreme Court of India plays a vital role and act as a guardian of EC.

But Bangladesh lacks these three important elements, he added.

Deputy Commissioner of Sherpur M Zakir Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner M Hayder Ali, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohibul Islam Khan, among others, was also present here.
