Country heads to single-party politics

DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir complained that the country is heading to a single party politics.

The BNP leader said while speaking at a roundtable on the newly enacted broadcast policy at National Press Club in city on Saturday noon.

He commented that the ruling Awami League is secretly working to establish a single party politics in the country putting the mask of democracy.

The incumbent government is trying to make the world a fool, he added.

National Democratic Party (NDP) organized the program to observe the sixth death anniversary of former minister Anwar Zahid, also a journalist.
