Tight security measures in Nayapaltan

DHAKA: Tight security measures have been taken in Nayapaltan area of the capital ahead of black flag procession of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Saturday.

Additional law enforcers have been deployed in the area, said a spot account of the incident. 

Leaders and activists from different wards are thronging there from noon to join the program protesting Israeli attack on Gaza strip. 

Regarding the matter, Paltan Thana Officer-in-Charge Golam Morshed told banglanews: “Additional police forces were deployed in the area so that none can make any untoward situation in the name of black flag procession.”

In this regard, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, “Many police personnel have been deployed around our Paltan office. We hope that the law enforcers will help us to bring out the procession peacefully.”
