DHAKA: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, also lawmaker, on Saturday urged journalists to be honest in publishing news on the basis of fact.

“A section of journalists are harassing owners real state. It is not fair to blackmail housing businessmen capitalizing their faults and media should act as the friend of real state owners,” he said.

The information minister came up with the assertion while addressing an award giving ceremony at Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) auditorium in city.

Indicating the journalists, he said no one is above the law. 

With REHAB president Alamgir Shamsul Alamin in the chair, the function was attended REHAB best journalists.
