COMILLA: HM Ershad, special envoy to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on Saturday categorically said there is only one Jatiya party in Bangladesh and he is the chief of the party.

There is no other Jatiya Party in the country, he added.

The former President of the country made the assertion while addressing a short wayside rally in Paduar Bazar Biswa Road area.

He also said, “Good days are waiting for us ahead. We want to assume power in future. There were many people in Comilla who obstructed me in organizing the party.”

HM Ershad said, “I will organize the party now as they are no longer in the party.”

Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud, also presidium member of the party, presidium member Foysal Chisti and general secretary of Central Juba Sanghati Belal Ahmed were among others present at the rally.
