ICT asks Hasan Ali to surrender

DHAKA: Taking the charges of war crimes into cognizance, International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 has asked Syed M Hasan Ali alias Hasan Ali to surrender before it.  

A three-member tribunal led by Justice M Enayetur Rahim passed the order on Sunday.

The court asked to issue a notice ordering Hasan Ali to surrender and set September 14 for hearing. 

Earlier on Thursday, prosecutor Abul Kalam Azad submitted the formal charges against him.

Prosecution brought in six allegations, including murder, abduction, detention, looting and arson against Hasan Ali. 

Syed Hasan Ali was the Razakar commander of Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj during Liberation War 1971.
