PABNA: A local Juba League leader was strangulated to death by miscreants in Kathgara area of Sharatganj under Chatmohar Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Asit Kumar Bhadra, 48, assistant secretary of Juba League’s relief affairs of the district.

Sources said that the victim remained missing from Saturday evening. Later, the body was found in the area around 10:00am on Monday.

On information, police recovered the body and sent to Pabna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Confirming the matter, Chatmohar Thana Officer-in-Charge Subrata Kumar Sarkar told banglanews, “Several injury marks were seen in the body”.
