NATORE: A Natore court on Monday sent 72 BNP leaders and activists, including Baraigram upazila BNP president Sajedur Rahman, to jail in four cases.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Liakat Ali Mollah passed the order.

Court sources said the accused were charged for looting and vandalizing 17 houses of Awami League leaders and activists at Panchbaria village after the result of Baraigram upazila polls on March 23.

Later, AL activists filed four cases under the speedy tribunal act.
