DHAKA: Outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jun met BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday night.

Sources told banglanews that in an hour-long meeting, started from 8:30pm, at Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan residence in city, they discussed different issues of bilateral interest.

BNP Chairperson’s Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

However, he added, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Lt Gen (Retd) Mahbubur Rahman, party vice-chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury and BNP chairperson’s advisers Sabihuddin Ahmed and Reaz Rahman, among others, were present there.
