BNP demands JS polls before Sep

DHAKA: BNP Publication and Publicity Secretary Zainul Abdin Farroque asked the government to quit by arranging national elections before the upcoming parliament session in September.

The BNP leader came up with the assertion while addressing a human chain program organized by Swadhinota Forum in front of the National Press club in city on Thursday morning.

He said, “The incumbent government is illegal. So, the government should quit before the upcoming session of the parliament on September 1.”

Zainul also demanded the government to leave power and arrange elections with the participation of all parties.

Terming the government illegal, he said the parliament is also illegal.

With Swadhinota Forum president Abu Naser in the chair, the human chain program was also addressed, among others, by Zia Nagarik Forum President Mia Anwar.
