Khaleda’s deposition Wednesday

FROM PARLIAMENT: The Special Judge Court-3 fixed Wednesday for taking deposition on Zia orphanage trust case.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case with Ramna Thana on July 3, 2008 accusing six people for embezzling orphans money sent from foreign country through Zia orphanage trust.

Law minister Anisul Haq made the disclosure while addressing parliament in response to a question from MP Begum Fazilatun Nesa Bappi in parliament on Tuesday.

The minister told the House that the accused of the case are Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia, senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman, Mominur Rahman, Kazi Salimul Haque alias Econo Kamal, Sharfuddin Ahmed and Dr Kamal Uddin Shiddique.

In response to another question, he said the accused of August 21 Grenade Attack case are 93 people. Among them, 52 people are in murder case and 41 others in the Explosives Act.
